R: knitr to pdf, attach file -

task: generating pdf document knitr , latex in rstudio. code generates in addition dataframe can export .xls/xlsx-file xlsx package.

problem: easier distribution, want attach/embed .xls/.xlsx-file .pdf-file. preference achieve during knitr run in rstudio?

question: possible? other suggestion achieve embedding?
